FAQ’S

How do holidays affect my Monday classes?

Our school calender follows the Edmonton Public School Calender and holidays. We DO have classes on PD days and our school year starts and ends at a slightly different date.

How are tuition and fees determined?

Tuition is based upon the costs of supplies, rent, teacher salaries, cleaning costs and additional expenses including such items as insurance and field trips. We do our best to base our tuitions on the needs of each class and the difference in 2 versus 3 day weeks.

What if I decide not to attend or need to pull my child out of school before the end of the year?

Your registration fee of $75 is non refundable and you will forfeit your first months tuition if you withdrawal after the deadline of July 1, 2021. At this time we encourage families to not register if you can not commit to the entire year. At this time we have a waiting list and would like to give that spot to a student who will be there for the duration of the school year. If there are any unforeseen reasons that require you to withdrawal we can visit that at the time it happens.

How much is tuition and how do you accept payment?

Our 3 year old class is $175/month and our 4 year old class is $205/month. You can pay with automatic withdrawal or a cheque for the entire year at the AGM.

What if I can’t pick up my child? Can someone else do it?

As long as we have been notified by guardians of the change another adult can pick up your child.

What if I am late for picking my child up?

We ask that you do your best to be there at the time of pick up. If you are going to be late please call the teachers to make them aware.

If my child is upset can I stay in the class?

At this time our drop off routine looks a little different than past years. Parents are not able to come into our classroom or stay where there are other students. If your child struggles with separation or you think they will have a hard time notify the teachers ahead of time and they can help. You will be pleasantly surprised at how quickly they adjust!

What if my child has speech and/or motor delays?

Our playschool has worked with various agencies to help support kids who need a little extra help. Whatever the need of your child we will do everything to provide assistance in the areas of need.

What are your Covid-19 policies?

We have worked very closely with AHS and our governing body to ensure we are providing the safest environment for our families and teachers. We have policies and procedures in place to keep everyone happy and healthy.

Does my child have to wear a mask? Do the teachers wear masks?

At this time children in playschool settings are not required to wear a mask. Your child is more than welcome to wear a mask if you or they would like. Our teachers do mask and parents are required to mask at drop off and pick up.
