Nancy Dafoe – Teacher
Hi,
My name is Nancy Dafoe and I am very excited to be the teacher at Westridge Wolf Willow Playschool. As I will be a new face for many of you, I’d like to take this opportunity to share a little about myself.
I am a graduate of the University of Alberta with a degree in Elementary/Special Education. I taught grades 1-5 in the years before having children. I have raised three amazing young men and I “am loving” every minute of being a new Grandma! I am an avid camper and I enjoy exploring around Alberta. I sing in a community choir and I play flute.
I am so excited to be teaching your three and four year olds this year. I bring ten years of playschool teaching experience but most importantly, I bring my love and passion for working with this wonderful age group. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than the smile on a child’s face or the twinkle in an eye as a child discovers something new in their world!
Thank you for entrusting me with your little ones. I look forward to nurturing their love of learning and ensuring that their early school experiences are positive and fun!

Tricia Jones – Educational Assistant
Hi Everyone!
I am the mother of two amazing daughters. My eldest daughter, Ashlyn, is currently in her 4th year at the U of A, and my youngest daughter, Kalia, will begin her first year at U of A as well this fall.
I have been a parent volunteer, a lunchroom supervisor, a Brownie/Sparks helper, and the manager of an educational toy store, before joining Community Options in the capacity of Educational Assistant. I have always worked with or volunteered with children in some capacity of various ages since my girls were in preschool and absolutely love it.
I am excited to be a part of the Westridge Playschool staff. I love to see children’s faces light up as they discover new concepts and look forward to working with your children. I find working in this field extremely rewarding, even magical!
I am looking forward to a wonderful, fun filled year of laughter, fun and learning!
